About us

We’re a small business, based in Plympton. We work locally, because that helps us maximise the social and environmental benefits of our work. We pay staff a fair wage, as well as give you an affordable price. We do this by keeping costs low, so that as much time, love, and materials can be put into the garden itself.

Our approach

Sustainability is our goal, so that our great grandchildren will inherit a liveable world. So all our choices about how to garden, the other businesses we support, and the jobs we accept, are to help the planet. We want a world with abundant plant and animal life, and so we work to create habitat for bees, butterflies, birds, and the other creatures that share our city landscapes (a kangaroo was spotted recently roaming the streets of Plympton).

Native plants

We will always suggest a native or local plant species first, because these are adapted best to the climate of this country. In addition, they are the most likely to support local insect and bird species that pollinate our flowers, and will help manage pest species naturally (by attracting predator species like ladybirds).

Edible plants

There are few things more satisfying that growing things you want to eat. We help you grow the vegetables, nuts and fruit you love the best (and you will be surprised how many edible plants will grow in Adelaide's climate). What would make you happy, seeing it grow in your garden?

Irrigation - Using water wisely is vital in Australia’s driest state. We will help you install drip irrigation, to keep your plants in good condition without wasting water. If you have an existing system of some sort, we can probably extend it or adapt it, to meet your garden needs.

if your garden needs regular upkeep, we are experienced at pruning a wide variety of plants. We love weeding, with an eye to managing unwanted plants without herbicides. Let us help you plan for an abundant garden. (N.B. We do not offer extensive mowing or tree removal, as these are best left to those who specialise in these areas)
